hi i was on 27.370 today and i was told i was off frequency on lower side band ie i supposed to be on 27.370.00 and my mate came back saying i was on 27.369.00 but when we switched back upto uppersideband without me touching any thing no kc shift clarifier or any thing i was on 27.370 spot on frequency he had to move 1 kc up on upper side band so what im asking is it possible that lsb is off frequency and the rest is on frequency am/fm usb..bit puzzled cheers mike any info much appreciated thank you..

1khz difference between 2 uncalibrated Tcvrs is NOT off frequency, to any normal semi intelligent radio operator & it's for that reason we have RIT's.
Next time someone tells you you are off frequency apologise, tell them your transmitter has obviously not been calibrated as perfectly as theirs & then ask when their frequency meter was last calibrated & to what tolerances & how long the calibrator gave it a guarantee for & then go QRT, because anyone with a level of educational retardation that prevents from using the RIT is not worth a QSO with.
