I saw these a bit back.  Modified silver-rods.

Not sure how well they work but i was initially tempted for portable ops.  until i was pointed in another direction (sandpiper)

This place sells some pretty cheap multiband verticals for under £50.  And some good portable beams.

www.dg1ogw.de and he sells them also. And to add to that I have bought an Astatic that fits on a magnet and that works from 80-40-20-10m

Called an Astatic 6 BTV and that was 78 euros

Sent him an email Dave to see if he will make a bespoke coil for the beam.  It can work 4/6/10/12/15/17 and 20 mtrs but i'm asking for an 11m coil instead of a 12m one.. so it can work 27mhz too.
