Hi Guys
I know that Simon has reviewed a Wouxun and was just wondering if anyone else had tried the Quansheng range of handies .I've recently bought the dualband version and find it amazing value for money . TX and RX audio reports are very good once you fathom out the manual . A main dealer in the UK is selling it at £79.95 p/p and I paid £60 posted from HK ,love the gift thing lol .

I have several Puxings that I paid about £30 for including postage & have found them to be excellent radios. They get used by several different hams other than myself as both my wife & daughter are licenced & they get used by licenced amateurs at the School radio club, so they get far more use than most handies, but still even after several years they look & perform like new radios.
I keep looking at the 4 meter Wouxon, but I'm not sure that I want to pay almost £100 for one, when reprogrammed ex PMR handies can still be brought for far less.

Hi Daxi
Thanks for the reply . I looked at the 4mtr wouxon from HK but it was about the same cost as over here .I only wish that these cheap ( very well made in my opion ) handies were available several years ago ,would have saved a fortune instead of buying the three main ones .With the cost of Icom ,Yaesu and Kenwood steadily increasing it would be great to see an HF version or two appearing .One of the great things I like about cheap handies is that if they go seriously wrong ,bin it and buy another ,after all I believe that the dealers/agents charge around £60 per hr .

There are HF radios on the way.
I use my Puxing's & a £10 dual band micro mount mobile antenna as my daughters mobile set up for the back seat.
I use to operate 2 meters & leave her with 70cm, but now she gets 2 & 70 as I never use 2, other than at the school.

Not sure now about the Qixiang, only know they will make Alinco soon under an OEM Agreement

Wouxun dual band was told could look like a Yaesu, 50w and have the same menu ideas as the handies. Release date not known here at the moment, but know that it comes
