VHF / UHF antenna Empty VHF / UHF antenna

Over the last 2 weeks I noticed the 70cm repeater GB3CR signal dropped. I only use 70cm for that repeater and all the 2m repeaters were working fine. Thought nothing off it until this morning when I got fed up of the signal I thought I will try the handheld. Well full signal on its rubber duck so that got me worried thinking the Radio had a fault.
I plugged the small bee sting in and hey what do you its working fine. My other antenna is no good now. Will see about putting the meter on it later...

Don't rely on just a SWR meter, make that the first check, but my bet would be Coax problems so check that with a continuity meter.

I don't think its coax problems as it works ok on VHF. Its a strange one.
The ground is not a problem as I have drilled a hole in the roof of the car and put a so239 body mount on. Coax and connector is between roof lining and roof.

Will have to test another antenna on the so239 socket.
