X-30 aerial
just got a X-30 2m/70cm and the swr is in the red .can i adjust the swr? there looks like there is no adjuster

how silly do it feel there is a small ali tube over the socket so when i looked into it ,it looked like a n type due to there being no insulator between the outer and inner parts hence why the n type plug would screw up but there was no connection to the inner conductor. so to make it clear the socket on the aerial is a pl259 and not a n type.i will need to go to runcorn tomorrow and get some pl259 and i may look at getting a 20m mobile aerial to get abit of hf work in.

just fitted the pl259 and now the SWR is 1:3-1:5 on 2M,a station which is about 10miles from me is now 40db on simplex and on the discone was about a 3 .will be neven better when i put it up out side,its in the loft at the mo.

At least its sorted Andy. Glad it seams to be working ok. I will go out one night and test it with you. See how good it works into N Wales. Can you get 145.650 GB3MN?
