I loved my IC-706Mk2G, well built and a far superior radio than the FT-857. I'd always choose Icom over the Yaesu now on but the price like you said is far higher for the equipment...

Indeed, as I said I will not be upset if it does not sell, there are 2 on fleabay at the moment one at 300 and one over 400 so it goes to show what sort of value these sets can command. I have worked all over the place on just 10 w and an end fed dipole.

They sell here for over 600euro when they are nicely boxed and good photos taken of them so maybe sell it and mention international shipping too and am sure there will be LOADS of interest

Thanks Simon007, interesting. As I say if I get a serious offer I will consider selling, this is totally immaculate boxed complete and wide banded, not abused in anyway, lovely little set.
