Papa Lima Net
Poor skip does equal good groundwave and I made some good copies on the Papa Lima net this evening (EU Ch28 Saturday nights 9pm onwards).
Best one was to PL01 Pipelayer over 105 miles away on holiday in Bala (North Wales).
Copies also made to Brian PL02 and Gary PL87.
A few of them know Simon the Wizard, and the net has been running every Saturday for nearly 29 years!
Cheers
Gary

Re: Papa Lima Net
yeah all live about 1 mile away from me good freinds of the family mike mike pipelayer and brian stone waller.
Re: Papa Lima Net
Pipelayer is a legend, and indeed has made the net now for so long time, and well run it is also. I remember the days when was on the net, and with the cornish and others oh man was the day.
Bloody hard to guarantee skip from here to him these days, but love that net it was and is always well run
Pass my sincere wishes the next time you happen to hear him
Sorry late answer, just back from Slovakia

Re: Papa Lima Net
Know Mike many years, at least 25 years that can remember. Same as Mick Greenfingers, Barry Sledgehammer and some others. Know those buggers long time now

Re: Papa Lima Net
The net is still going strong - plenty of stations active around the West and Wales. The popular Homesteaders net runs on a Wednesday afternoon too (UK Ch27).
I'll certainly pass on your regards next time I participate.
Cheers
