RAYNET Talk Through (changes)
RAYNET Talk Through (changes)
Ofcom has agreed that RAYNET Talk Through units, for which permits have been issued, no longer need to be manned provided that the unit can be closed down within a maximum of 15 minutes.
Permit holders will be responsible for ensuring that the unit operates within the terms of the amateur licence at all times. Shutdown arrangements must ensure that the unit can be closed down within the required time in case of malfunction whether by attending the site or by remote switch off.
The Flintshire RAYNET group have a Talk Through permit and am sure with this news they will use it more.
