I am looking for a battery for the 817ND radio. Will the radio operate at full power with a 12v alarm / motorbike battery?

I use 2 cheap portable battery packs I brought from Aldi or Lidle years ago. A motor bike battery will work fine. The idea with mine was that I can operate over very long periods with one on charge & one in use.

I have just posted an image of what I use, it's a Goggle image & only the front, but it gives me hours of use at 5 watt. I don't know how much use it will give me as I have never tried for more than about 5 or 6, but it gives me a full 5 watts. For as long as I have ever needed it. It has two post terminals on the back, so does not need any sp[special connectors fitted to the cable, thus allowing me to use the 817 on my power supply at home also.
