Whats your favourite band & mode ?

For me it's either 80 meters LSB or 6 meters USB although just for the memory factor I also like to operate AM some times on 80 or 10 meters.
I do operate 40, Very occasionally & some times crop up on 20.
But 80 & 2 meters are my main bands I operate & always phone. Or nearly always.
I can operate EVERY band from 80 meters to 70 Cm, but very really use 70 Cm, 4 meters or 10 meters.

I will start off on 2 meters and then maybe 20. Would like to try 80 but not sure if I can get an antenna for the mobile use? Maybe someone can help...

80 meters mobile is not easy. There are antenna available but they take a lot of setting up, the band width is very narrow, plus they require a very good connection to chassis.
I have spoken to people operating on 80 meters, one mobile in Wales so it can be done. But 20 meters is probably the best band to operate on. You will still need a good chassis connection so no mag mounts. But a club member has worked over 200 DXCC mobile.
I must admit I like 2 meters for it's rag chew quality, but have never worked any 2 meter SSB mobile.

20m is awesome and somewhat unique in the way it behaves. 12m is also fun, same as 45m oh ladies......

70cm+2m I enjoy as they are in-expensive and do well indeed especially in the sporadic e season

My favouurate bands are 160m,80m,10m,4m,2m,70cm.
I am not into dxing.Although if 29mhz repeaters are up i'm working 28/29mhz dx.
A few years ago i would have said my favourate band would have been 24cm ATV, but i have now moved onto Echolink.
