That is so sad. Just goes to show how desirable the radios are..
I will keep my ear open and hope that the radio gets returned to it's owner...

Hi Tony / All

Sad news indeed mate, there was a case very recently in Australia ( Simon 007 knows this story also)
Where a guy went away for the w/end and on his return most of his VERY EXPENSIVE radio equipment had vanished.

Turned out the his next door neighbour had stolen it !!!

And this guy had invited his neighbour into his home many times to allow him to use his top of the range radio equipment.

Sounds to me Tony that someone knew that Tony had just purchased the FT2000 and they also knew when to carry out the robbery .... strange indeed.

I hope someone can come up with some info for Tony.

Yes very true indeed Roy. It does have the hallmarks of jealousy on this one also that is sure

I'd hate to have any of my gear stolen, hope he gets it back or insurance will koff up for a new radio..

Sounds as the other fellas say like a planned thing rather than scallies on the off chance nicking a rig.

Many congratulations to MW077. I have asked some of my friends in the business there to keep eyes open also. Maybe if he has the serial number PM me it and will pass it onwards
