6 meter beacons
I have been altering my scanner channels to include more amateur frequencies & it's been an interesting exercise.
First 4 meters is not as private as some may think & I have heard several QSO's during the past few days, so don't head onto 4 if you want a "private" QSO as I heard one amateur saying he does...LOL
Secondly I have programmed a few 6 & 4 meter beacons into my scanner & one near Tring is making the trip into Norwich during the evening on 10 watts with sufficient signal to open my squelch, not bad for a distance of around 110 miles antenna to antenna during normal conditions.
