Corsican Beam (Skypper) or off the Shelf.
Alreet people.
As the title suggests which should I get?
I have all the equip here to build the skypper also the money to get an off the shelf thingy like this Link
I have also read that a Moxon? is easily built with nearly the same eqipt as a skypper.
Anyone have any other links to a skypper build page, and also what do you lot think is best?

Re: Corsican Beam (Skypper) or off the Shelf.
I use to use a modified 40 meter beam on 6.6, but I am not sure that a dual band antenna will make a good conversion for use with something like your 747.
Mainly as 40 & 10 are good bed fellows, but I'm not sure 45 & 10 are.
It is not by accident that most amateur multiple antennas are mainly aimed at 160, 40, 20, 15 & 10 meters, with a & they work on WARC as am additional comment.

Personally here, am using a skypper made by 161AT080. He makes two versions, one a little stonger than the other. Always shipped fast, so much so he has just made me two bambi antennas and now wait for them to be delivered

Any chance of a link Simon, cos if it goes wrong I might buy one, or even photos so I can get a better understanding of it.

Re: Corsican Beam (Skypper) or off the Shelf.
The coax to the element joiner. Re-housed from work (cough)
Pic of the 4 way pole holder. Re-housed from work again (cough cough)
Sort of happy with it.
500m of copper wire from...... yes you guessed it.
Only pennies spent where the fishing net poles fm local shop.
Relocating it to inlaws house the morra as they have a flat roof and are not surrounded by high(ish) rise flats.
Just need prop and by the time you read this I hopefully have bought a rotator fm Evil Bay!!!

Looks Indeed Excellent, waiting here for a Squagi now and see what happens with that, oh man......... The locals did not like skypper at 80m above the ground, were unpleasant about the bambi but they like the IK2GAO and it works so well, so maybe Squagi stays at another qth also

Did you compare signals with your vertical / dipole against the beam ?
