Path Profiler
I found this on Southgate ARC's news site & it's great.

I've just found this website that can map out the rises and falls in the land between two points and also determine the distance involved: http://www.heywhatsthat.com/profiler.html
The instructions are to click on the two points for which you want the profile, then click on "Draw Profile".
The resulting graph appears near the top of the page and is drawn left to right from the first point clicked to the second point clicked.
You can choose a path anywhere in the World, e.g. across Switzerland, the Himalayas, the Panama Canal, or even the entire United States.
There is a 'Clear' button to use should you wish to draw another path.
The 'Path Profiler' webpage uses Google Maps, so you will need to 'Click and Drag' the map, and zoom in and out, quite carefully in order to locate the two end-points of your path.
