What about unwanted signals?
What filtration does a Wouxon have?
I would be surprised if there is nothing to stop unwanted out of band signals.
Lets face it a simple turned curcit can do that, it's cheap & very very simple, but screw that & what are you left with?

Wauxun Programming for CB freq
I am a total novice to CB radios. Purchased a Wauxun KG-UVD1P to have more watt power without having an in-dash unit for my motorhome. Silly me, I thought I was purchasing a CB Radio but I understand this can be programmed. I have a USB Cable for the unit and have installed the drivers and download the Wouxun prog sware from W's site. Problem is the software recognising the W. Using the KG-UVD1P software, I click on "read from radio" and after 15 seconds or so, I get the message FAILED CONNECTION. I have check the port assignment both in the SW and Device Manager. All okay. INstruction manuals are very limited and of little if not zero help. Anyone out there with some input? by the way, I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again

Depends which version of the radio you have. Check the box and see what the software version is. Are you running windows xp, vista or windows 7 as thats a difference also. Do you have the latest version of the drivers and the software?
Normally install the software and drivers, restart PC and then connect the radio to the data cable and then the radio to pc. Switch on the radio and start the software,, i had the same issues and they were solved with the software. See if these will help at all and if not let us know.
Could not upload anything so here are the links to the newest bits:
