New Toys.
It was the clubs table top sale last night & I just had to spend some money.
Items brought were a R N Electronics 4 meter transverter for £30.
MFJ Morse reader, £15.
PYE MX 290. on 4 meters £25
And a lovely little but strange looking portable 2 meter antenna for £5. This is half a folded dipole with 4 earth legs on butterfly nuts, so it all folds up very nicely.

Re: New Toys.
The 2m antenna sounds interesting Alan, is it possible to post a pic?

Thanks for the pictures Alan, looks an ideal antenna for hill top use!

Yes. I saw it & saw something I could use portable, I'm thinking that if I use a small pole fixed to the frame of my rucksack, or use a roach rod as a VERY tall walking stick with that at the top, then I can then even use it pedestrian mobile while out with Raynet.
But it looks to be an ideal special event antenna.
I brought an old Rucksack last year with a metal frame & have fitted a mobile whip on a short pole to it for pedestrian mobile use, this would improve on that.
