Do you think we will see an updated iPhone this summer with such a big update? The thing I can see them bringing out is an iPhone nano to tackle the younger Market now the phones are on sale as P&G. I have just bought the iPhone 3G so I hope a new one is not on it's way :-). Thinking about it what could they do to change the iPhone? Better camera, Broadband speed (will need such a better battery) and a 32gb version which might also come about. :-) Have u heard anything?

Talk is of a new iphone around June or July. AT&T are selling them now with heavy discounts and the same here with tmobile they seem to be selling them off to make sure there is room for the new one this year.

8gb will be discontinued so am told, and will be replaced with 16gb and 32gb.

Version 3 makes so many things better, just really indeed needs a better battery, some better radio software to keep the 3 connected.

Camera, broadband, mms are some of the new things so am told, but have not seen it, just waiting like the rest sadly

Thats fantastic, I so hope that its got mobile broadband, it will make the iPhone more user friendly while there out and about! It also does really need a better battery and upgraded camera!
The software update is well on its way! I was so tempted on buying the SDK to try it but i'll have to wait! :-(

We'll see how good it is but from what I can make out it's pretty cool, even Tethering (using iPhone as modem) WoW glad I cancelled my mobile broadband contract last month!

Anyways its on eBay for a couple of quid if anyone wants it! iPhone 3.0 brings it up!

I too have the iPhone 3.0 software and have to agree, it's like a whole new phone. We are running Beta 5 at the moment with the MMS plugin. This allows me to send MMS messages with the new 3.0 software but at the moment I can't recieve!

o2 have for some reason or another put a block on receiving MMS messages for iPhone tarrifs. o2 say it's to protect the o2 MMS simplicity as there may be some problems so they want to test it first. To be honest I think it's due to the fact that they don't want it to be released until the software is released by Apple. :-(

o2 say the iPhone system on the computer does not have the option to turn the MMS on at the moment but as a few customers on the o2 forum have had theres turned on it only shows it's possible!!!

Have also been running the OS3 and there is issues with t-mobile here and of course it revolves around the costing issues so they say with the mms, as the tariff does not really allow for the sending, as when it was designed it was not possible, so not any prices needed, and now well they need make new ideas.

So, guess the same as you Dave. Not on the tariff and needs to be added, and sure they make a decent profit on it when they get it there.

Yeah that is what many people were saying with o2 but we are able to send and the charging structure is in place. It's the normal 4 - 1 text so 4 texts taken from your text bundle per MMS. That's ok cos I have an unlimited text bundle which leaves me my 500 texts each month untouched :-)

So once MMS is up and running we will be sending alot of pics :-)

I have noticed one gripe and that is when your text goes over 160 rather it sending a large text or the 2 or 3 messages in on it reverts to MMS and there is (at the moment) no counter to show how long the message is!

I have found that too so I have turned my MMS off on the iPhone. I have to say I dont think i'd leave it turned on because I dont send MMS anyway. Good old Email! lol Yeah Yeah David....... Shoooo
I like the tethering though, I think thats a great feature, the Cut Copy and Paste seems good but fiddly. Maybe thats my big fingers but at least its there. My main improvement is forwarding messages WoW I can forward jokes again, its only been 2 years! lol

yep been running the new update now for a week. I wonder if you have gone for the TomTom app? I got Navigon when it came out and when they update TomTom with traffic I will prob buy it. It's also good to see Snow Lepard out Friday. Pay day so Ill be updating my OSX Lepard to the new version as my treat :-).

I have another APP here Navigon as came with 6month free trial and works wonderful. Network now pushing me towards a 3gs but not at the moment, will wait and see at the moment.
