The Transmission1 Forums are temporarily offline. Due to increasing levels of forum abuse by a small minority of users we've made the decision to close the current discussion forums.

Whilst the forums are closed we will be working on a relaunch in 2009 with a fresh new look and improved facilities that will enable better discussion of radio related topics. When the new forum launches we will archive the posts from the existing one as a reference for anyone wishing to read the past discussions.

For those of you who are members of the TM DX group, everything continues as normal, the group website is still up and running at http://www.tangomike.net/ and we will shortly be updating the site with a new membership form for those wishing to join the group online.

As for this site, we'll continue to add new articles of news, events and reviews as usual. If you wish to submit a review or an article then please feel free to contact us using the links provided. Please note that we are very busy so won't be able to reply to general enquiries about the forums or advice on specific products as we're not a shop!!! (you'd be surprised how many people ask us questions about how much stuff costs and what our best price is!).

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all visitors a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I think this was the right thing to do. There was some issues there that forced me to leave and indeed some members were not as they told they were, and it was a great place to see peoples cars, illegal radios and where they used the stuff!! So, take a minute and you will see where the unwanted attention was coming from.

Indeed, a wise and smart decision to close it for a few weeks based on the climate that was there. Well done to TM1 and his associates

Been reading it for the last few days and no sooner things seemed to calm down they got out of hand again.

Just hope they can get everything back up and running again and sort these problems out

You know Dave, that is mentality of some radio people. There are the ones that:

a) Want and say they will get the newest radio and then when see it there is SOMETHING to stop them

b) There are those that show where they sit, what antenna, car etc they have

c) Then there is the salt of the earth ones, make the calls and keep themselves to themselves

d) There are those you speak with 20 years on 11m, they get there ticket and then its "cb oh yeah that is childrens band" and forget there past lives

Wish them well too, think they will need it if some of the same clowns appear there again
