Last night
Dont know if this is the right place for this .
Last night on 80mtrs a MW3 was trying to make contacts but was keyed over by a GØ d**khead the M3 was so p****d off he said he was going to sell up.
Last night I made a contact with a GØ HE did not believe I could be a M6 HE said they dont exist I must be a PIRATE then started to lecture me I changed frequency . WHO do they think they are. rant over dismantled soap box.

Re: Last night
i have heard tales like this in the past but i must say 99.9% of G0's i have come across have been great. they are very happy to help out and are glad to see new blood coming into the hobby. i know of a M0 who leant alot off a few M3's the other night about aerials also my father in law is a G0 who hasnt been on the air for about 15 yrs, has now started going to a club and is getting his licence renewed all since i have become an M3. some old school stations are out of touch and dont like change. the other month dave (mw3vsg) and i where talking on 10m when a G0 came in and said he had been listening for a while and congratulated us on how well we where operating.he said he had written a letter to radcom to stick up for the M3 stations due to the negative letters the month before. so i think you must have come across the 0.01% .btw well done on getting your M6.

Re: Last night
Well said Andy I agree with everything above. Don't take any notice to the ones who say its not a true call sign. You and we all know its right and your just proving some hams are not prepared to listen and they will be the ones looking stupid!
You keep up the good work and be proud to be a new M6 licence holder...

I like it , I have worked several contacts with Norway,Sweden,Ireland,Spain,UK with no problems. complimenting me on getting through to them & being the 1st M6 they've worked.
Try working special event stations , they make a point of working low power , & M3/6 stations
