Patch leads with moulded Pl259 utter rubbish
cor blimie I am fed up today, as I have been dead busy with work, I decided to order some of the cables and patch leads required instead of buying the parts and making them myself.
I should have know that the ones I would get as a cost saving and time saving excerzie are utter, utter crap
I HATE those patch leads with the moulded PL259 plugs on the end they NVER, EVER WORK !

Been There Guys
Hello Eddie / Simon / all
In the past I've had exactly the same experience with ready made moulded patch leads.
But as I did not have a meter and thinking that these "professionally made" patch leads would be 100% perfect. It caused me all sorts of bother,in fact they sent me on a wild goose chase and had me thinking that the problem lay elsewhere...water in my coax etc etc grrrrrrrr

Re: Patch leads with moulded Pl259 utter rubbish
It's not just the moulded ones. I have some ready made patch leads here which are not moulded but the PL259 plugs are useless! They seem to be squeezed onto the coax...

Re: Patch leads with moulded Pl259 utter rubbish
They sell them here for 10 euro with 1 metre lenght and they are working maybe for 2 or 3 weeks then they just seem to die, and thats a waste of money. Better is buy the plugs, some decent coax and sit there and solder them yourself
