Hi folks...I've downloaded an application to an Android phone called APRSdroid.....I intend to use this program for SOTA activations and would be interested in any comments about the app, particularly from anyone already using it.

Sorry, I really can't comment on the App but the Technology coming together from Phone, Internet, GPS and Ham radio is brilliant. I have been using some Apps on the iPhone for some time and its brilliant. Just one comment, Battery will drain. GPS tends to stay on and its this that kills the battery.

Battery drain is certainly a problem with these apps that use GPS but I'm hoping that it will last for the duration of the trek!

I've not used the app as yet....I'll give it a go on the next summit assault which hopefully will be Tryfan.
