I have one of Nigel (M0CVO's) short Windoms, for 40 to 20 meters up in the loft. It's zig zagged all over the place & works a treat. For my main antenna I use a Diamond CP-6 vertical which works well.
Nigel M0CVO was a fellow Norwich amateur, but recently moved & tells me he uses one of his short windoms in a C shape himself & that he recently had a couple of really good SWL reports despite only using 5 - 10 watts.
If I had a remote ATU, & I think thats what your ATU is. And if I had limited space, which I do, I would now use an end fed wire as my main antenna. The remote tuner would allow me to run as efficently as possible with no coax lox from the high SWR. But there would be increased noise, but maybe this would be offset against the fact that a G5RV is known to be a deaf antenna & the end fed wire is not..

Hi guys
I could be on the wrong track here but I had the same tuner a couple of years back and I believe it's supposed to be used with a non resonant ant ,should tell you in the destruction manual .To tune it was a short whistle for about 2-3 seconds .I'm sure when you get it going it will serve you well .
